Editorial Policy
Specific, useful and honest beats inflated. This policy defines the standard for every guide, recipe and tool on Just Great Steaks.
Last updated August 10, 2026Research and Fact Checking
Cut anatomy, official grade terminology, food safety, labeling and Japanese Wagyu standards are checked against primary or authoritative sources when research access is available. Sources are listed on detailed guides such as the steak temperature reference and Wagyu guide.
We distinguish direct source statements from editorial technique and avoid turning customary cooking ranges into government recommendations.
Recipe Standards
A published recipe must include ingredients, equipment, staged instructions, temperature guidance, servings, storage and troubleshooting. We never fabricate ratings, reviews or review counts. Testing status may be added later as explicit metadata; until then, we do not claim every recipe was tested.
Search Intent and Page Creation
One intent gets one primary URL. Ribeye and rib eye belong together; cowboy steak and cowboy ribeye belong together. Price, buying, cut education and cooking methods can justify separate pages because readers need different answers. Contextual links connect every support page to its pillar.
Updates and Corrections
Every article stores published and updated dates. Safety, grading and labeling references should be reviewed when authoritative guidance changes. Corrections can be submitted through contact with the page URL and supporting source.
Affiliate Independence
Product and retailer relationships must not determine conclusions. Affiliate links, if introduced, will be disclosed clearly and will never justify an unverified stock, price or performance claim. The current policy is detailed in our affiliate disclosure.
Future Review Metadata
The content model can support Tested By, Reviewed By and Fact Checked By fields. Those names and credentials will appear only when a real person performs the stated role and has agreed to be identified.
